Birthday + Christmas

Hello, long time no see, I know. And I'm terribly sorry. But I'm a student, which means I have to study during these magical, cosy times of Christmas and New Year.

22/12 it was my birthday! The evening before I went out for dinner with my family. First we went to Het Pakhuis for a glass of champagne/wine, and then we had dinner at Lucy Chang. I got such lovely presents ! Daan gave me an old camera from the sixties, a Petri Racer, and his sisters gave me some Lomo film: this and this, and an expired film. I'm so happy with it! I thought of buying a Diana mini, but this is so much better. After my exams I will test this amazing camera as soon as possible!
The evening of my birthday, Daan and I ate loads of sushi - he bought a pack of 1 kg because it was the last one in the supermarket, haha. My parents gave me some money in order to save for Amsterdam, and my mom made me a vase!

Three days later, it was Christmas! If you follow me on instagram, you will have seen that my sister and me got an amazing gift from my parents: a car. I was so overwhelmed! It's a Fiat 500 Convertible, in my opinion the cutest car ever. It's not entirely 'our car', but we can use it whenever we want to, so that's veeeeery ok with me! I also got the book that was on my wishlist: The New York Times' 36 Hours in Europe. Lots of citytripping to do!

I'm very happy with my presents, but after all Christmas is mainly about being together with the people you love. I enjoy these days, and the fact that my birthday is part of this period. But now back to reality, in my case: studying Belgian politics. Hurray!
